C) Work Permits

Permanent Residency

Family Class
The goal of this pathway is to see the families reunited in Canada. For all applications under this class needs a sponsor who is a Canadian citizen or PR holder and 18 years old to be eligible to sponsor his/her family members. Skilled workers can apply for PR through Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Programs while Businesspeople can apply under self-employed persons class or Start-Up Visa program. However, skilled workers don’t require to show many assets when compared to businesspeople. Home support worker and Home childcare providers also come under this class of applications.
A) Express Entry (EE) System
Canadian immigration got popularity in the world after the introduction of EE system. This system is especially designed in a way to attract skilled workers around the world. Refugees and Humanitarian Classes
As Canada is a member of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) it accepts convention refugees and asylum seekers recommended by UNHCR. Persons who are forced to flee from persecution and seeking protection in Canada are protected persons and they also have an option to apply for PR after 3 years. Humanitarian and Compassionate (H&C) Class

Citizenship
Canadian citizenship is conferred by place of birth or parentage, as well as by naturalization. In 2019, more than 250,000 permanent residents became citizens through naturalization process. A permanent resident meets this eligibility to apply for citizenship after spending 1095 days in Canada. However, adopted child of Canadian parents are treated as biological children born abroad to Canadian parents and can directly apply for citizenship through special process.
